Amputee Care You Can Count On

Care Connections At Home’s amputee care is provided by our head physical therapist. Tammy Ranney, Lead Therapist and Director of Therapy for Care Connections At Home has over 20 years of experience with amputee care which began at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and has carried over into the Sarasota community over the past 17 years. She has been actively involved with local amputee support groups as a participant and speaker/educator and has served as a CEU instructor on the topic of prosthetics and as a guest speaker at Hanger Clinic’s National Education fair on 2 occasions.

She is working hand in hand with local expert Certified Prosthetists to educate our entire staff to ensure everyone on our team can provide the most current outcome-based therapy to our clients to return them to the highest possible quality of life as an amputee.

You can feel comfortable referring your amputees to our team knowing that we will take a comprehensive team approach incorporating their doctor’s input, and working hand in hand with the prosthetist to determine the most appropriate equipment and provide the physical therapy to get the most out of that equipment; whether they need the prosthesis simply for transfers and household mobility to reduce their wheelchair-bound status or to restore their prior level of community-level mobility.
