DIRECTOR OF THERAPY SERVICES
I am a Physical Therapist with 27 years of experience and have focused over half of my career working in home health with senior citizens in our local community of Sarasota and Bradenton. I am originally from Vermont, was schooled in Boston, MA at Northeastern University and earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy with honors in 1994. I served in the US Army from 2000-2004 as a combat medic and physical therapist tech. Thereafter, I had the pleasure of caring for wounded veterans at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. During my tenure there, I became an expert in amputee care including educating people who have amputated lower limbs to walk with advanced prosthetic devices such as the C-leg, an electronic microprocessor above the knee prosthetic. I am a Preferred Provider of post amputee/prosthetic and advanced orthotic physical therapy services for Hanger Clinic of Sarasota and have been a guest presenter at several of their local and national continuing education events. I am a certified LSVT Big® Parkinson’s Therapist and firmly attest to the success of this program. I am also a certified lymphedema therapist.
